Similarly, the remaining 10% from the 8th-grade exam will qualify for scholarships for the 9th and 10th grades, subject to maintaining at least 70% attendance.

The primary objective behind launching the Chief Minister Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana is to provide monthly scholarships from the 6th to 12th grade, specifically targeting economically disadvantaged students in government schools. Additionally, students scoring over 80% in the 10th-grade Uttarakhand Board exams will receive a higher scholarship of Rs 1200 per month until they finish class 12th. This financial aid aims to support students in purchasing books and other educational essentials.

Scholarships under the Chief Minister Medhavi Chhatra Yojana are granted through competitive examinations conducted by SCERT Uttarakhand Dehradun. The top 10% of students based on exam performance will benefit from the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, receiving monthly scholarships from the state government for up to a year.
